Carmela has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Valencia (2019) and a course on digital marketing and internationalization of companies. Before working for REVOLVE, she was a project and proposals assistant for an European Association in Brussels working on communication focused on topics related to the circular economy: this experience awakened her passion for sustainability and for contributing to building a better environment that led her to REVOLVE.

I’m sustainable

As a person deeply committed to sustainability, my dedication to minimizing my environmental impact has grown significantly over the past few years. I initiated this journey by incorporating simple yet impactful practices into my lifestyle, such as prioritizing walking or using public transport, utilizing cloth bags, and buying food from local markets to support the community to reduce my carbon footprint. Additionally, I avoid excessive plastic consumption and opt for recyclable or recycled packaging, aligning with the principles of the circular economy to ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’.

Building on this commitment, I have taken a step further by choosing second-hand furniture. This deliberate choice contributes to preserving the environment by reducing demand for new resources.

The future I want

I envision a future where people are educated from childhood about the importance of caring for the planet, where economic profit does not come before general welfare, and where there is a greater commitment to renewable energies, facilitating access for all citizens, thus achieving greater commitment on the part of communities.
