Your job: 

We are looking for an experienced part-time Communications Manager with a passion for sustainability to join our team in Barcelona. You will be responsible for implementing the communication strategy, coordinating the communications team, and ensuring the impact of our messaging across all channels. 

 

Your activities: 

  • Work closely with the Communication Lead to develop and implement the communication strategy and annual editorial calendar. 
  • Coordinate the communications team (Comms Officer, Graphic Designer, Media Relations Officer, Intern) to ensure consistency with EU policies and the C4T initiative. 
  • Draft and oversee press releases, newsletters, campaign messages, and high-level statements. 
  • Help manage budgets and timelines for communication activities, reporting progress to the Communication Lead. 
  • Ensure all communications are multilingual, inclusive, and aligned with EU visual and accessibility guidelines. 
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators and provide actionable insights. 
  • Represent the Mission at events, forums, and meetings when delegated; prepare talking points and summaries. 
  • Coordinate with the helpdesk, community platform, and project leads to ensure integrated messaging.

As our Communications Manager, you will ensure that our sustainability projects reach and engage the right audiences. Your expertise in multi-channel communication and coordination will amplify the impact of our initiatives and strengthen the visibility of our EU projects. 

 

Your qualifications: 

  • University degree (Master’s preferred) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or related field. 
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in communications, preferably in international, EU, or sustainability contexts. 
  • Proven track record of managing multi-channel communications. 
  • Knowledge of EU institutions, climate adaptation policies, and cohesion funding instruments. 
  • Fluent in English; additional EU language preferred.
