I am a media and communications professional, and a public policy enthusiast. I’ve led various campaigns to advocate for the protection and promotion of human rights, encouraged responsible business practices and engaged media to tell diverse stories to build awareness and support for progressive, inclusive and participatory vision of society. I believe in the transformative power of public policy and enjoy exploring how governments, business and media can play their part in developing a more equitable and thriving economy that serves people and the planet.

I’m sustainable

Reduce, reuse and recycle – I’ve been brought up with these concepts which continue to influence my daily life. I consume and purchase only essential items (often second-hand), while trying to reuse and recycle materials. I cycle to work and use public transport. I buy organic produce and avoid plastic packaging. I also have a small vegetable patch in my balcony where I grow herbs and radishes as well as bee-friendly plants. I’d love to do more, for instance, traveling on the night trains for my holidays.

The future I want

A sustainable future, is for me, built on thriving societies and abundant natural ecosystems. I imagine a future where our growth and prosperity is linked to how we enable better interactions among humans and between humans and nature. I envision a future where we are educated to contribute to this healthy and thriving ecosystem, where our national indicators are based on this interaction between people and planet. For this, we need businesses and governments to lead on transforming our economic systems and for media to hold our leaders to account. And, each one of us holds a responsibility to act as an individual, when we vote, when we buy and when we raise our voices to demand a sustainable future for us all.
